Maregan has many upgrades and enhancements to make life on the water easier and more comfortable. These upgrades are unique to Maregan and may not be found on other hulls.
Stern Platform
The first and most notable enhancement is her stern platform that extends 4 feet off the stern. This platform is a game changer and real differentiator as it unlocks critical useable space missing from other hulls. For us, this platform stores the Yamaha 9.9 Outboard & Fuel, engine crane, spare D\diesel, anchor, fenders, grill and the Ares Windvane, including a swim ladder.
Full Shower
The second notable upgrade is a full shower. This full shower is roomy, comfortable and seamlessly incorporated into the layout of the boat. A shower seat, with under seat storage and closet, enable the crew with a great shower and awesome storage. This is an unbelievable addition to the boat and a luxury on the sea.
Integrated Storage
The third notable enhancement is the integrated storage throughout the boat. 12 cubbies are integrated into the port and starboard side of the vessel that live behind the settees. Each individual cubby has a pinch door that is easy to open and extremely secure. The cubbies are numbered for organizational purposes and we tend to keep most of our food stores in this spaces, including canned food. Absolutely awesome storage.
Expanded Fuel and Water
Maregan has 2 fuel tanks and 2 water tanks. Maregan can carry a total of 87 Gallons of diesel across 2 fuel tanks (one large aluminum tank, the other plastic) giving her a range of ~500NM (~1 gallon an hour at ~6kts). 80 gallons of water is held across 2 tanks.
Carol Hasse Offshore Sails
Carol Hasse is well known for making the highest quality offshore sails out of her loft in Port Townsend. Maregan is fully outfitted with Hasse offshore sails. The quality can be seen, felt and experienced under sail,
