She is owned and maintained by a licensed USCG Captain and loved by her family.

Maregan is a Fast Passage 39 (hull #10 out of ~ 40) built by the Philbroooks Shipyard in Sidney BC and designed by William Garden. William Garden (renowned ship designer) designed the Fast Passage 39 to be a fast, safe and a strong blue water boat that was also well appointed. The boat was so well regarded that Francais Stokes chose a Fast Passage 39 (he dropped the Valiant 40) to race in the BOC Around the World Challenge in the early 80s.
